        Nymphaea ‘ Sirius ‘ ( Red lily )

Nymphaea ‘ Sirius ‘ ( Red water lily ) Is a beautiful water lily. The Flower colour inner petals are deep purple-red with some flecking,  the outer petals are purplish red with some flecking and white tips. The Flower shape star , the fragrance is slight,. This lily is free flowering

:  Flower size   15 – 18 cm  ( 6 – 7 inches ) number of petals 27

:  Leaf colour  The top leaf is green , the new leaves  are lightly blotched purple . The underside if the  leaves  are green with  light green veins . The Leaf round sinus is wide open . The Stem colour  is brownish purple with some fuzz on stem .

:  Leaf size is up to 28 cm ( 11 inches )

:  Leaf spread   is 1.5 – 1.8 m  ( 5 – 6 feet ) when mature

:  Planting depth 40 – 100 cm ( 15 – 39 inches ) from soil level

• We ship all water lilies bare root, this means that we wash the soil off before packing the plants. During the summer months we may need to trim some of the foliage back for shipping.
• Water lilies are vert heavy feeders and benefit from a slow release fertilizer specially prepared for aquatic plants such as Growth Balls which can simply be pushed into the soil.
