Description

Marsh St. John’s Wort. Hypericum elodes. Native.

Marsh St. John’s Wort is an aquatic plant used for flowering pond margins and creating a good habitat for pond creatures. It has attractive green leaves, which are hairy and rounded, growing on its sturdy stalks which lead up to delicate yellow flowers. Each petal of the flower has beautifully subtle lines which cause a fine contrast. Hypericum Elodes is an evergreen plant, which means that the foliage of the plant persists and remains green throughout the year. It provides perfect cover for emerging wild like and is good for bees and other pollinators.
